About Me
Hey, I’m Lee Morunga
I was born and raised in Whangarei, New Zealand. Grow up in the Haka scene in the 80s and 90s while building a music name for myself. With the support of my family, I took opportunities that came my way and from a young age travelled as a Maori Ambassador and Musician.
Landing a role in Disney’s The Lion King, I joined 2 Australian tours which included 100 shows in Shanghai and relocated with my family to Hamburg German for 7 years.
We returned to Australia where I started teaching Voice and Musical Theatre as well as fronting Perth’s Favourite Soul Band The Milford Street Shakers.
After 24 Years, I took a 4 Year sabbatical to refresh, rejuvenate and Re-energise my love for music.
